Conditional formatting

My form has Territory Sales and the table I am using has the Territory Goal,
but I do not want the Territory Goal listed on the form. I am wanting to use
a condition format if >=[Mar 09 Goals]![Terr Goal] fill Green if <[Mar 09
Goals]![Terr Goal] fill Red, but I am missing something in the expression and
I'm not sure what it is value maybe. Help!

I am working on team sales and stats by manager for every month. I am using
a christmas tree formatting to highlight if goals were met, not met, or
excided expectations. The three fill colors I am using is green, yellow, and
red. When you look at all the summary of all the managers together you can
eaily tell who did or did not met goals for the month. Like I said below I
have the sales listed on the form but not the goals however I do what the
christmas tree color or background fill so they can easily tell if their
sales goal was met or not. Not sure if this helps.

It's a bit hard to visualize what you're working with unless you provide a
more specific description.

Have you looked into setting the backcolor of a control on a form based on
that condition (use design view).

Not so much...

"christmas tree formatting" is not a term I'm familiar with.

Perhaps you could use a query to calculate an intermediate value based on
your comparison, then use that query as the source for your form, employing
conditional formatting on that intermediate value's control (again, check on
backcolor).
