conditional formatting

I would like to format the start and end dates, bases on
what they are in relation to today's date. For instance,
if a start date is within the next week, I would like for
it to be blue, if it is passed, I would like for to be in
red, otherwise, I want it in black.

You can do this in Excel using conditional formatting.

Anyone know how to accomplish this?

Hi,
You can't change the background color of a cell in Project as you do in
Excel. But you can add a colum which will display a graphical indicator (red
or blue...)
Try to adapt your Excel formula in a custom field in Project :
Insert a column : Insert / Column / Flag1 for example
Select the new column, then Tools / Customize / Field
Clic the button "Formula" and enter your formula
NB : You'll find the [Current Date] field in the Field / Project / Date
menu.
Clic the Graphical Indicator button...

Hope this helps,
