Conditional Formatting

I have a form that has two buttons called Apprved and Denied. I have set
both in the conditional formatting under display for the buttons to hide them
if they are not logged into their pc as a person listed in the "approver"
list I created. Problem is no matter who opens the form these buttons are
also visible. I have no entries under data validation but for rules I have
two submits (one to database and one to email) and close form. The stop
processing rules is checked. I tried this unchecked also.

Can anyone figure out what can be going on?

Thanks

Joe

I am using user roles but what is happening is if I set it to if urrent role
is not equal to "domain\user" then button A should be hidden but it is
acutally doing the opposite. To make the button A hidden I have to set
domain\user to equal. It also doesnt matter what domain user I enter in
there it does the same.

I am a little bit confused. So, I need some clarification to resolve your
issue.

Have you created User Roles in InfoPath 2003 or are you typing the AD Group?
Because if you are typing in AD Group then yes it won't work. You need to go
under tools and create User Roles and set the AD Group for the USer Role.
Then use that Role in your Forms.

Does the above make sense? Is that what you are doing right now?
