Conditional Fromat Question

In C19, I have that cell formatted as a Percentage. I wanted to add
Conditional Formatting as follows:

=$C$19=0 (Format set to the color blue)
=$C$19>0 (Format set to the color red)
=$C$19<0 (Format set to the color green)

I am attempting to have the color change as the percentage value goes
up/down throughout the month. The percentage changes in C19 based on calc
from other fields. It seems to work except that I start with the 3 rules
above, but end up with dozens of the same rule as C19 changes. Apparently it
appends a rule each time the C19 changes ???

If you are using Excel 2003 you can NOT have more than 3 conditions...

How do you find out that you have more than 3?

Conditional Format will depend only on the result of the formula in C19...
it does not depend on the cells it depends on.

Hi,

Let's start from scratch.

1. Highlight the cell(s) you want formatted.
2. Choose Home, Conditional Formatting, Clear Rules, Clear Rules from
selected cells.
3. Choose Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cell Rules, Greater Than,
enter 0 in the box and open the "with" drop down and choose Custom Format,
Fill and pick your color. Click OK twice.
4. Choose Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cell Rules, Less Than,
repeat as above 0 is the entry and you pick the color.
5. Repeat as above but choose Highlight Cell Rules, Equal to...


You should make sure you have SP1 installed for Office 2007.
