Conditional Sum Wizard

Hello,
This is the first time I have tried to use the "Conditional Sum
Wizard". I think it is what I need but I can not get it to work.
My worksheet is a list of items that have and "Item Number" In column
A and Quantity in Column D. I simply want to add up the total
quantity of each item type as identified by item number. Each item
occurs in the "list" somewhere from zero to plus/minus 8 times.
Note... I do not have my List in the "LIST WIZARD" thing.

So when I go to the "Conditional Sum Wizard" I am able to identify the
column in which the values to be sum are located - Step ONE.
But in step TWO it will not let me select/identify the Column to
evaluate ... It puts the "To SUM" column IN and will not let me
modify it??

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in Advance.

Actually, you're asked to select a list. So in step 1 ("Where is the
list that contains the values to sum, including the column labels?"),
enter A1:Dxx.

Then choose Quantity from the Column to Sum dropdown in Step 2, and set
up your condition in the column to evaluate dropdown/combobox and click
Add Condition.
