Conditionally Required Controls

Hello -
I feel like this is something simple that is completely going over my head
so I apologize if this is a rather elementary question. I have a drop down
list box, when, 'yes' is selected, two additional questions appear. I need
for these questions to be required only when they appear - if 'no' is
selected in my original drop down list box, I don't want them to be required,
obviously, since they can't be seen. Can this be done? Thank you so much!

field2 would be equivalent to your drop-down with its corresponding yes/no
value.

Why not use conditional formatting and hide the field if No is selected. As
for required you can do that with validation or a rule.
