Configuration, setup

Good evening,

We are planning on implementing Project 2007 server for our small business
and we are running into a small issue. We have two office locations with
AD/Exchange running in both -- seperate offices, but same company. We have a
trust established and both environments have firewalls with rules that allow
only inbound traffic from each other. Idea was to setup project server in
one location and use NTLM authentication, since we have a trust relationship,
and add users this way. We are running into issues when we try to add users
from our other domain; Project comes back and says that the user does not
exist. We have verified the trust and all is well. My question is: do we
have to setup two project servers -- one in each location? And if we do this,
are they stand-alone servers or is it a farm and we add resources to each?
How can users in the other domain view/share/update project information in
our domain? If there is anyone who has run into this type of situation or
others who can lend some assistance, I'd truly appreciate it. Thanks in
advance.

Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas in reference to this? Is it possible?
Should I just have the server as a member to the domain? Is it possible to
have trusted domains participate in a single server scenario? If we setup
two project 2007 servers, can tasks/reports be shared between them? Will
users be able to see other resources? I can't seem to get past this and
would love for some assistance if anyone has any. Thanks.

Terrance:

You need to figure out why Project Server is unable to verify the user
account in the trusted domain. This is not a Project Server challenge as
much as it's a trust configuration/security policy/firewall/network
something issue.

Gary,

Thanks for the response, however I have gone over that part of the
configuration two times now -- even a third this morning just to verify. DNS
is correct, WINS is working properly, trust is established and 100%
functional. However whenever I attempt to add a user from the other domain,
this is the error I receive:

The resource could not be saved due to the following reasons:
The NT account specified is invalid. Check the spelling of the user name,
verify that a valid domain name was included, and check that a duplicate
domain was not used.

The account is 195% valid and the domain does exist. If I go into AD Users
and Computers, I can manage the other domain, add users from the domain to
local groups, etc. I'm missing something and I just cannot pinpoint what it
could be. Any thoughts?

Terrance:

Can you fire-up Project Pro and add users from the other domain to a project
plan through the global address book after you access it from the Resource
Information dialog?
