Configuration

Since first installing Office 2007, every time I use it, it has to
re-configure (which takes ages). Any ideas for fixing this very irritating
problem, which effectively means I use my old Word instead

Each time I start any of my 2007 office products, it goes through the windows
configuration before it starts. Office 2003 was never loaded on this new
computer...

That's a different issue, then. You did say, "I use my old Word instead,"
which suggested you had both installed.

No. This is a new laptop without Office on it. I loaded 07 office suite on it
and everytime word, excel, powerpoint of access load, it goes through a
configuration set-up.
