Configure field in Table (Design View) crashes Office suite

Whilst trying to configre a field as a Lookup Wizard, the whole Office suite
crashed. On restart, all the backup data had been corrupted, and the system
lasted a couple of minutes before crashing again. Anyone else seen this, or
heard of any solutions?

As a matter of (perhaps) related points, subsequent attempts to launch the
Groove application caused the same system-wide crash of Office applciations.

Suggestions welcomed!!

Crashing during the Lookup Wizard is an omen -

I expect your crash might be related to Groove since is seems common to a
couple crashes.

Thanks for the response. Whilst I'd normally agree with the Lookup problems,
this occurred before any had even been created! So I'm a little wary of
marking that as the cause.

however, more investigation required. I'll post the progress if any is made!!
