Configure the Task Tab in Project Server

I installed Project Server yesterday and seem to be having a couple of
issues with the Task Tab.

First, when a resource clicks on the task tab to view tasks, it defaults to
the Gantt Chart view and NOT the Timesheet View. Does anyone know how to
change this default setting?

Also, when looking at the Timesheet view, the only field the resources can
update is Remaining Work. It is set to track progress by hours of work done
per day, but you can't even type in the right hand side where the daily
hours should be located. Any suggestions?
