Did you use the SharePoint Configuration Wizard to
configure WSS? If so, the on one of the first pages of
the wizard it will tell you what your SharePoint Central
Administration URL is. For instance, on my first attempt
on my test server it selected http://sprg-testproj:12637,
however on a subsequent install, it selected a different
port number. Looking through my notes, I cannot find a
place where I entered a server name, therefore I believe
it defaulted to the machine where I installed WSS.
