Configuring Outlook 97 for personal profile; AOL is ISP

I have Outlook 97, and had been using it only for
Contacts, Tasks, and calendar, and using AOL as my ISP.
My system crashed and upon reinstalling Office 97 I am
having trouble configuring Outlook so I can use these
three components again. I don't want to use Outlook for e-
mail, so I don't know how to configure the Personal
Profile. Anyone know how I can get to Contacts, Tasks,
Calendar etc. while still using AOL?

You could configure it as if you were going to use it for
email with any old entries/values, and then simply not use
it for email, settings you've entered of course wouldn't
work anyway. All you're trying to do is create a PST file,
which is where your Contacts, Tasks etc. data will be
stored.

You might need to turn off in "Tools > Options" any
automatic email checking to avoid any potential error
messages flicking up. That's what I'd do anyway...

SG - I tried your suggestion, typing in randon letters in
the server fields. The Wizard in Mail of Control Panel
successfully completed, but when I open Outlook I still
get the message: :Unable to open your default mail
folders. Outlook could not start because a location to
send and receive email could not be found. To add a
location, such as a personal folde file, double click the
Mail icon in Control Panel".

Any other thoughts?
