Configuring Outlook for VPN

I have Outlook and I have a VPN account (HotspotVPN) that, by default, uses
port 443 for its connection. Do I have to change the port setting for my
e-mail account in Outlook (my port setting for the account is*not* 443) in
order to insure that my e-mail is protected by my VPN connection?
