Configuring Outlook

I'm getting the message "Unabel to open your default e-mail folders. An
unexpected error has occurred. MAPI was unable to load the information
service msncon.dll." I don't have msn on my laptop. What can I do to get by
this?

Open the Mail applet in Control Panel and adjust your account settings
there. It sounds like you have the MSN Connector installed.

I am having the same issue as Stan. I do use MSN, and used MSN Outlook
Connector with Office 2003. I uninstalled Outlook Connector which did not
resolve issue. Tried to reinstall, but MSN installer does not recognize
Outlook 2007, or haveing a program installed on my computer, i.e. Office
2003, for Outlook Connector.

At this time, I don't think an Outlook Connector compatible with Outlook
2007 has been made available.

I do not have MSN Outlook Connector installed, yet I can not open Outlook
2007, because msncon.dll is missing. I don't have a work around on this
issue. I have tried repairing Outlook 2007, ran Outlook diagnostic. All
other programs with Office 2007 working, except Outlook 2007.

msncon.dll is the Outlook connector. Try deleting or renaming the file
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook\extend,dat. Try creating a new mail profile.

A new version of the connector is available at http://g.msn.com/0CR1033/3. Let us know if it works for you.
