Confirm site in use message??

I am getting the following e-mails:

"Please follow the link below to your SharePoint Web site to confirm
that it is still in use.
http://sps03/sites/projectserver_107/_layouts/1033/useconfirmation.aspx

If the site is not being used, please go to
http://sps03/sites/projectserver_107/_layouts/1033/WebAdmin.aspx, and
select "Delete This Site" to remove the Web site.

You will receive reminders of this until you confirm the site is in
use, or delete it."
From where does this orginate and how do I turn it off?

If you are using WSS then Try this:

1. Go to your Sharepoint Central Administration site.
2. Under Virtual Server Configuration section click 'Configure virtual
server settings'
3. Select your WSS site (It must have version number listed)
4. Under Automated Web Site Collection Management click 'Configure site
collection use confirmation and deletion'
5. Unchecking the option 'Send e-mail notifications to owners of unused site
collections' will disable this feature & hence the notifications.

That is the area where you configure the settings for Automatic Deletion.
The options on that page are clear.
