confirming proper PST file when migrating to OL 2007

I've just migrated all my mail, contacts, etc from a laptop w/OL2002 to a
newer machine with OL2007. I understand the newer versions of OL use a
different file type for the storing of all data. I used the import function
to get the data into my new machine and it went flawlessly, almost too
perfectly in fact. Is there a way to confirm that I'm using the right type of
file. I think it has something to do w/ size of the data or unicode or
something.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

If you imported to Outlook 2007, then you imported to the new file format.
It did not go as smoothly as you think. You always lose a lot of information
when you import and it is never the correct way to transfer Outlook data. If
the information you lost ends up being of no consequence to you, then
consider yourself lucky and be on your merry way.

Within OL, check properties of the Personal Folder, if its not unicode, it
will state outlook 2002 data file (or similar, cannot remember exactly)
