Conflict between Word and Entourage ?

Hi!

I cannot have Word and Entourage open at the same without both
applications freezing, requiring a "force quit" on each.

I'm on OS 10.1.5 using Microsoft Office 10.1.5.

Any suggestions.... ?

It sounds like you might have corrupted Word Settings (10) or Entourage
Preferences files. You might try deleting Word Settings (10) and
Entourage Preferences from the Microsoft preferences folder
~/Library/Preferences, and the com.microsoft.word.plist and
com.microsoft.entourage.plist files.

opened the two applications they again froze up...

It might be worth her dragging her Normal Template to the desktop.
Entourage is trying to write to it, and so is Word. If they conflict, they
could get into a deadly embrace.

I am having the same problem. I believe it has something to do with
the database caches. When I move them out of their "native" folder I
can open and use Word without a problem. Of course all my Enterogue
information is gone too till I move it back.

There has got to be an easier way!

Help! I've gone to using Appleworks...

Do an Advanced Rebuild of your Entourage identity: hold down Option key at
Launch and choose Advanced. If you're in OS X, also Repair Disk Permissions
in /Applications/Disk Utility.

hmm... Well, it worked for a while but the issue has reared its ugly
head again... Any idea WHY it's doing it, maybe I can fix the
problem causing the issue instead of doing an Advanced Rebuild every
few days? I'm wondering, could having 20,000+ email addresses in my
email address book have anything to do with it?
