I have been using Outlook with a Gmail IMAP account for some time and
most of the time it works well, but sometimes I get a "Your IMAP server
closed the connection" message more and more often. It matters little as
a 'check for emails' opens it again, buy the error message pop-up is
irritating.
I access Gmail directly with my Android phone and always moved important
mail to local folders when I was on POP3.
Since Gmail keeps all the mail anyhow is there any point in using IMAP?
