There are two objects in Project 2002 (using server and professional), one is "user" and the other is "resource". If, for example, our staffs are all project resources, they are duplicated in "resource list" when using Project Web Access to assign resources to a task. To make my question clear, say, there are 3 staffs their project account are: USER1, USER2 and USER3, and because they are also resources, so I create three resources R1 (as USER1), R2 (as USER2) and R3 (as USER3). In the dropdown list of "Enterprise Resources", USER1,User2,User3,R1,R2,R3 are all listed. But in the "Enterprise Resource view" (where we can manage resources), there are no USER1, USER2 and USER3. My questions are: 1. If USER1, USER2 and USER3 are resources (can be selected in resource list), why they can not be managed in Enterprise Resource view? 2. Is there any way to filter-out "USERs" from the "Resource list", so they can not be selected? one additional question is: how to assign a project manager to a specific project? (because one staff might be a project manager in one project, and be a normal member in another project, how to assign role to him/her?) Thanka in advance my email: huanggx@21cn.com
