Word 2017.
Options/save shows the “default Personal Templates” location as:
C:\Users\Name\Documents\Custom Office Templates
Indeed, the New windows displays templates stored here under the “Personal” button.
However, Options/Advanced shows the location for “user templates” as:
C:\Users\User name\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft Templates.
In this folder, I find a number of Excel templates (Formula totorials and Pivot table totorials) and I also find Normal.dotm.
Why are there two storage folders and what’s the difference between “default Personal Templates” and “user templates”? Very confusing!
Is the Normal.dotm in the Microsoft Templates folder the one that Word uses when it starts?
