Connect Project Server to Portfolio server (2007)

Ok,
Like everyone else this is driving me mad.
Setup is PSS +SQL+OPS on SAME VM server in a domain. Integrated
authentication for everything.

Settings:
Authentication type Windows integrated authentication
Name DEW Project Server 2007 Description
Project Server Web Service URL http://act01projsvr02:5560/projectserver/PSI/
Project Web Access (PWA) URL http://act01projsvr02/pwa
Default user logon account [Windows integrated authentication]
Resource Type Custom Field Default Mapping Template
Project Server Language English (Australia)

When I try to setup attribute mapping templates I get:

Authentication data undefined for specified Project Server and current
user.

When I try to connect to http://act01projsvr02:5560/projectserver/PSI/project.asmx
using a browser to access the Project Web Service I get *prompted* for
a username and password.......but I am already logged on as the
superuser account that was used to setup both PS and PPS.
If I enter the su credentials into the login box I then get through to
the Porject Web Service.............so the credentials are correct.

Why wont Portfolio server connect to Project Server?
NB How can I give other users access to the project web servive (so
they dont get prompted for a login).

Has anyone worked this out?
Al.

Try using the credentials of an administrator of PPS and not the SU, as the
SU has very limited access through the application.

For anyone else working through this I thought I'd post what fixed it
for me.
With the help of Daniel from PSS we established I had the wrong URL
for the PWs:

The port should be the one used by Office Web Services web site (check
in IIS manager to see what port it is running) and the URL does NOT
have PSI on the end. In my case:

Project Server Web Service URL http://act01projsvr02:5567/projectserver

After that it all worked........with ProjectServer on the built-in SQL
database that gets built if you do a 'default single server' install.

I re-installed because we needed to use a full separate SQL2005
instance (rather than the cut-down version) and it broke again :( This
time we identifed that the issue was that the NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK
account must be added as a service account to the ProjectServer shared
services site (ie through Sharepoint Central).
Hope this hepls someone else
