Connect to AccessDB without MS Access

Hi

I've seen posts that almost answer my question, but I need to make very sure
that it is possible to query an MS Access formatted database from MS Excel
without having MS Access anywhere near.

If I'm running Excel 2000 or later, and the database is Access 2000 or later
(on network share), everything should be OK? Don't want to tempt Murphy's
Law.

(Database has no forms or customisation. Just one or two tables linked to
Outlook folders).

Thanks a lot for any advice.
