Connecting a DB

Hello,

I am a newbie with Access and have been reading the Access
Indide Out from MS and have learned quite a bit. But Where
can I learn how to make an Access DB work with an online
web page such as a search page for product on my site?

I also have a few asp password protected pages but how
can I add an Access DB to these pages so the Password will
be different for each customer?

Or should I be using another form of database?

Thanks

Or should I be using another form of database?

No: you certainly can use a jet backend for a web-based database. You have
the usual trade-off between ease of use and the better security and
robustness of something like SQL Server.

The difficulties are mainly in writing the asp stuff to get the data and
write it out with all the html tags; and you have to know about file
permissions and access rights so that you can see the database but all the
nasty crackers can't.

m.p.inetserver.asp.db might be a better place to look, although I've never
been there.
