Connecting Access to SQL

Hi everyone,
I have a question about connecting access front end to SQL
back end. Has anyone done that? Is it efficent?
If it is efficent and does it help me with access issue
with WAN (wide area network)?

It is very common.
It can be made efficient.
It does not work very well over a WAN.

Hi,

I just saw this email of yours as I am connecting a large MS Access Front
End with SQl Server. The thing is the performance is very slow for the first
time when the forms load but after that its OK. The client is not happy with
the initial slow speed of performace. I am using a DSN which using SQL
Server Driver to connect to SQL Server.
