connecting database to the web

In access 2000 I have a problem getting the Data Acces
page to connect to the database. In the connectionstring
it is not possible to enter a URL , and as my webserver is
in a private subnet via NAT How can I connect the Data
Access page to the database (Or is there a complete
different way to connect the access database to the web?
