Connecting Databases as Read only

Brad

Howdy Folks,

I want to link tables from another access database as read
only. Is there a way to do this without implementing the
full security features. I am using Access 2002.

Thanks,
Brad

I tried seeing if Access would let you do an ODBC connection, but it won't
let you do that to another Access database. The only thing I can think of
off-hand would be to create a snapshot query based on the linked table. A
snapshot query is read only. You could then use the query.

What are you trying to accomplish by this. If you are using a form, you
could lock the controls you don't want the user to be able to change.
