Connecting to a sharepoint list using https

I want to connect to a sharepoint list to connect my visio objects to
information in the list. I uploaded an excel spreadsheet that I was using to
connect to my visio objects to a sharepoint services list.

Visio has the option to connect to sharepoint services lists, but i get the
error message "Microsoft Office Visio could not connect to the site you
specified".

My site uses https:// Is this protocol supported with Visio 2007
Professional?
