connecting to network media

I heard a rumor that visio can connect to network media and configure them
from there. is this at all true and if so, how??? i also heard it has the
capability to set up the basic coding for programs. again, is this possible
and if so how???

visio as a platform allows the USER to code applications to support many
things. One of the popular ones is to write utilities that allow the user to
take advantange of other programs, such as TELNET.
If you have the enterprise architect edition of Visio you can create
software models that allow you to export developed UML class diagrams as
skeletons for your code.
