Connecting to OneNote

Hi,
Is there a tutorial on how to connect more than one installation of Onenote
to a database, what I mean is I have serveral computers that need to access
the same Onenote database. And is this something that is accessible via a
web browser when they are off site?
Thanks Craig

Hello Craig,

Yes, you can share notebooks with OneNote 2007. There is an article on how
to use SharePoint servers at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/onenote/HA101314771033.aspx?pid=CH100627701033.
And any server which supports DAV should be able to host the notebook as
well. Once on the server, you can connect to the notebook from any computer
that can access the server.

FWIW, I've been using a shared notebook on
http://enroll.freesharepoint.com/uddi/freesharepoint/ for a year now and it
works great. I can connect from any place where I can get internet access.
I just use the free, very small disk space account, but for text, it works
great. It gives you a chance to try it out if nothing else.

Thanks John,
If I have an existing database if you will, is there away to move it from
the workstation to the server?

If you can open the current database as a calendar in outlook, the easiest
way I know is to change the outlook calendar view to a table view (such as by
category), select everything and drag/drop onto the new calendar.

If you can't open the calendar in Outlook, I suggest exporting it to a CSV
or ical file. Outlook can import either of those (but you lose attachments
and rich formatting of text).
