connecting to project server from project pro 2003 enterprise

Hi. I was wondering if your computer has to be registered in a domain
(workgroup only) in order to be able to connect to the Project 2003 server?
Once I register, it connects fine. But my company runs Windows 2000/XP and
Novell so I'm trying not to have to register every computer into the domain.

What's funny is in my user profile only, I can authenticate and publish
fine. I never had to change my workgroup. But create another user's profile
on my PC or try to replicate my account on another computer, and it does NOT
work!

Here is the error it gives when I do a Test connection:
Unexpected Server Response

clicking on Details shows:

You are not authorized to view this page.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the
credentials that you supplied.

Once again, if I register the computer into the domain, it works fine! It's
the fact that I'm trying NOT to have to do that. Any ideas would be of great
help! I've been tweaking on this for days now!!! Thanks!
