Connecting to Project Server

In MS Project 2002 Pro., every time I try to open something from the server
(e.g., enterprise pool, or a published project) a SQL Error pops up
(basically) stating that the server could not be found, and when I hit okay a
new window pops up wanting me to enter in the server address/name and a
username & password. It seems to be defaulting to 127.0.0.1 as the server,
though in project i specified the default server to be the actual MS Project
Server. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I have to go through this
3-4 times just to retrieve/change/update one time.
