connecting to server

Bernd

I believe I have installed MS Project Server 2003 correctly on a Windows
Server 2003 enterprise machine. On my desktop I am loged in not in the domain
but just on the computer. When I try the project server accounts I actually
don't know what to put as the server URL. Everything I tried didn't work.
Where do I find this information on the Project Web Access pages (on the
server)?
I am not asked for a password when I use the any of the account options. Is
this correct? I always get the unexpected server response message. Upon
viewing I get: You are not authorized to view this page...

Any thoughts???

Thanks

Bernd

Verify that you can get onto your network (like see if you can get any
company intranet site up). If you can't, then you can't get to PWA. Next,
the Project Server URL is:

server_name/projectserver

For example, if your server name is "iis_server_001" your URL will be:

iis_server_001/projectserver

We should note that if your server has underscores in the name, you're in
for other problems.

I have network access and it works now with ../projectserver.

What I also did was to activiate the basic authentication in the
Authentication Methods under PJDVCOMM.DLL properties in ISAPI under Default
Web site/ProjectServer in the IIS manager

Now at least this seems to be working.

Thanks for the help...

I was having the same issue. I resolved my issue differently as to avoid
"basic authentication". I changed IE's User Authentication setting to
"Automatic logon with current username and password" for the Trusted Sites
zone.
