Connecting to the server

Hello,

I am trying to help out a colleague configure Project. I'll post all the
information I have. I know I may be leaving out important information.
Please understand that this is not my area of specialization - as will soon
become apparent to you, I'm sure.

The project server is hosted at a remote location, and users are able to
access via IE using
windows authentication to the project web server over the internet, using
SSL.
However, users are unable to connect to the server using Project
professional 2003 Client. When configuring the PP2003 client for enterprise
connectivity, the URL when tested is getting the response "unexpected server
response", we are using the same URL as the web client - that has been
successful - however not with the PP2003 client.

How do we get Project Professional 2003 client to successfully connect to
the server to upload and manage projects?

Regards
Habib

Gary,
Thanks for the reply.
Isn't that the SQL server port? What if i was to set SQL Server to listen
on another port and opened that port?

Regards
Habib
