Connecting to web service dialog box

My IP forms contain many web service calls for reference data to be
used in dropdown boxes. When web service is not cached I get a
warning box that that says "Connecting to web service". If there are
5 calls the user would see 5 warnings. This does not make for a
pleasant user experience. Can anyone explain this behavior to me. Is
there any way to suppress these warnings.
