Connection data lost

Hi All!

I had an stencil with some master shapes, i needed to update the
shapes, so, I added a single line to them and to my astonishment
connection points have lost.

I have developed an application to automate Visio using that stencil,
it was working fine before updating shapes, but after using updated
stencil, visio does not connect shapes properly.

I have checked the Shape Sheet and found that connection points have
been lost, so, i again added them to shape sheet but it is not of any
help.

What could be the problem? Thanks in anticipation.

Vicky

I think the most likely thing is that in adding the new line when the
shape gets added to your drawing the shape becomes a grouped shape.
So, after the shape is dropped on the drawing you end up with a
grouped shape consisting
a. your original shape with the connection points
b. your new line

Can you confirm this by dropping the shape on a page then
menu View -> Drawing Explorer
in the explorer find the shape on the appropriate page and see if your
shape consists of two shapes.
