Connection Error

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Email Client: imap

I cannot send messages, yet I am able to receive them. It keeps saying "Entourage cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network." I am using a school e-mail on my Entourage, could it be my school's connection, or what?

Did your school give you instructions for what SMTP server you should use
and what kinds of password and security you should have on it? If not, ask
the school's help desk for this information. If so, make sure you have
followed the instructions -- and if you think you have set it up correctly,
contact the help desk to make sure.
