We are drawing shapes to go on the rack diagram. We've found that if we
use 'group' to construct the shapes (some of which are quite detailed)
they appear to be too large to use as we are unable to attach working
connection points to them, unless we convert them to 1d shapes, in
which case the connection points default to a position midway along the
vertical sides, which is not much use for lining them up correctly.
If we construct the shapes using 'combine', they will work perfectly
with the connection points wherever we want them. However, this is a
far more awkward, frustrating and time consuming method of construction
than using groups.
We've looked at the microsoft examples, and they are 1d rather than 2d,
but their endpoints are at the bottom of the shape, which enables them
to be lined up properly with the rack. Could someone tell me how to
move the endpoints so they are at the bottom, like on the Microsoft
examples?
Thanks.
