I have a project server 2003 installation with project pro 2003. I have a
cpouple of users that can access pwa fine but when they try to access thier
project via project pro they get a 401 unauthorized message. They all have
pm rights and privileges (read, write, save, etc). They were able to access
the server from project pro before but all of a sudden they cannot. Help

Drew, can they still access PWA?
Also if you are the Administrator, try to log on and see if you can use
Project Pro. If this is the case you need to check the security settings
wihtin the user group.
Hope this helps

Drew,

Project professional actually first goes to the project server url
programmaticaly and then after authentication it connects to the database. So
if there is any hick up on the website access (even a prompt) Project
professional will give u an error.

Bottom line is you need to reslove the prompt issue.

Usually when you change your password browser still remembers the old one,
you can follow the steps below

Open IE
Click Tools
Click Secuirty
Click Default Level
Click Apply
Click OK

Then access PWA
If you get prompted supply your new domain\winuserid and password and check
rememebr password. Then close browser and retry accessing PWA.

Hope this helps
