Connection problem with PWA

We have just installed a fresh copy of Project Server 2007 on Windows
2003 server.
We are able to play with the install on the server itself but when we
try connecting to it via a client machine it prompts us for username
and password. Entering the correct username/password does not help.
After a few failed attempts gives 'Access Denied' error.

can you please profide a little more information of what exactly you are
trying to achieve?

Marc,

We setup this new install of Project Server. It's running all good from the
server itself. ( I connect through Remote Connections to the server and work
on project server - PWA)

But when I try the same URL directly from my machine I get prompted for
username password. I have administrative access on my machine and also on the
server. So I am not sure why I should be getting these. Entering my
username/password does not get me through to PWA and I am propmpted multiple
times for username and password. After a few failed attempts the page shows
up with 'Access Denied' message. I can provide screenshots if that helps.

The IIS security is set to default (i.e. Integrated Security) . I tried to
enable 'Anonymous Access' to get past but to no avail. I have given full
access privileges to the directories involved, but did not help either. I am
sure I am missing some piece related to security but am not able to put my
finger on it.
