Connection Type Registry key

Hello.
I'm refering to the registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Account
Manager\Accounts\XXXXXX.

I'm trying to understand when does an account get
Connection Type = 0 and when does it get Connection
Type=3.
(This is regarding Outlook Express)
