Connector labels

Is there any way to relocate the labels on connectors?
When using long connectors, the label is automatically
located in the middle of the connector. When using
decision shapes, for example, I would like to keep the
labels close to the shape to make it clear which path
(connector) represents the correct path.

In order to "work around" this, I have used a short
connector (w/o arrow on end) that I label, then add a
second connector to "finish" the path. The problem with
this is that the two connectors don't actually "connect"
so when the shapes are moved, the connectors don't always
stay toghether.

Thank you for any assistance.

Regards,
Bob

Hi Bob

I think you're looking for the Text Block tool - I
recently discovered it for what sounds like the same
purpose. It allows you to repososition and rotate text
labels generally - including connectors.

The Text Block tool (an A with an arrow circle around it)
is on the Standard toolbar on a drop down with the Text
tool (the bold "A").

Once you've clicked on the Text Block tool click on the
text you want to reposition - then drag to where you want
it.

Hope this helps ...
Barry
