Connector lines missing in org charts

When I create a new org chart in Visio 2003, the connector lines do not
display. Everything behaves otherwise normally, I can show, hide and arrange
subordinates, change layouts and settings, and everything operates exactly as
it should, except there are no connectors. You can not even click where the
connector should be to select it. I can open existing org charts, and they
look and work correctly, and I can create an org chart using the org chart
wizard. This only seems to occur with new drawings.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Hey LM,

Can you do a net select around where a connector *should* be? Ie: drag a
rectangle around the begin and end point of where a connector should be?

If you send the drawing to another user, are they able to see the
connectors?

This smells like a printer-driver issue, but I can't be sure.

No, when I try to net select the connector, it does not select.

When I send the drawing to others, there are no connectors, but if they add
shapes to the drawing, they connect properly, and they can drag the existing
shapes and drop them on a supervisor and they will reconnect. I ran across
someone else with a similar problem and reinstalling the application seemed
to resolve it for them.

I have already tried running detect and repair. I deleted the registry key,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Visio\ and allowed it
recreate when the program starts, and replaced the Orgchrt_U.vst file with a
copy from a computer that was working, and none of those made a difference.

Haven't tried print drivers yet, but it's worth a shot to see if changing
the print driver makes a difference.
