Connector points

How can i get two connector points between two shapes? Not dotted, two solid
lines. Visio 2003.

based on a previous post, he is attempting to get the org chart add-in to
allow the creation of a subordinate with two direct managers (not the
supported one direct -straight line and one indirect dotted line)...

Well you might consider using the connector tool and adding an additional
connection point to the shape that you want to connect to. You should be
able to find it in the help facility.

Sorry, thought i had replied.

I need to get two connector lines to connect the same two shapes in
different places, instead of only allowing one connection point on each
shape. i've tried to do this using the connection tool, and it seems to
automatically remove the previous connecting lines. I'm sorry I can't be
clearer, this is the first time I have used the program and am not familiar
with the terminology. Most simply, i would like to connect two shapes into a
"circle", with perhaps the connectng lines connecting the two at the top, and
again at the bottom, if they were side-by-side.

let's back up a second. Are you trying to put two lines to a shape in an org
chart (i.e. a subordinate with two managers)? If you are, you are probably
running into code that operates on shapes in an org chart that may not allow
the additional connections.
