I created a shape based on the built-in stencils and shapes of Visio. I created a very complicated part and I added some connection points to the master. When you try to connect two shapes using the connection tool, the line will not glue to the connection point (i.e it won't turn red). I found an article in the kwonledge base that lists this problem for Visio 2002 SR-1: 827806.
I tried to follow it for Visio 2003, but the registry variable: SnapToShapeComplexity is not present in the Visio 2003 version. So I don't know how to fix it.
I noticed the how they build shapes in visio. They have a place holder, to be able to modify the shape you need to open the object (EDIT > Open Gorup), then you have access to the shape.
The conenction points are to be added in the Master layout, and those are the ones failing to connect...
