CONNECTOR WILL NOT JUMP

I HAVE TRIED THE PAGE SETUP DIRECTIONS, BUT MY CONNECTORS WILL NOT JUMP IS
THERE ANY MORE STEPS BESIDES WHAT THE HELP MENU TELLS TO DUE?
I AM USING 2003 PRO.

Are you using a dynamic connector? Regular lines will not jump.
