connectors disappear

I am trying to add a second connector from a shape to another shape - a
secondary dotted line. When I add the new line, the first one disappears,
even after I put in connection points. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

what type of shapes are you trying to connect? some of the embedded add-ons
have software associated that might be getting in the way.

I have executive and Managers. I connect the managers to the executives but
want to show another relationship with a dotted line, to another manager.

I just tried a simple executive with two direct report managers and then
connected the managers with the dotted line report drawing and it appeared
to work.

it has worked for me at times...at other times, not. I'm going to have IT
reload the software. I'm beginning to think it's just one of those things.

What version of Visio are you running? This behavior was modified in Visio
2003 to better support dotted line relationships.
