Connectors issue

In Word, i believe the only method of using connectors to connect autoshape
is creating the drawing canvas first.. is it possilbe to do it without? or
what's the reason we cannot do it?

I found that if i create autoshape & connectors in excel, then copy & paste
it to Word, the connectors still work.. but as soon as i un-connect the
conntors, i cannot re-attach it.

Hi Glen,

The active connector functionallity is provided
by the graphics controls system in MS Office apps.

Each Powerpoint slide/page is basically a graphic layout
container. In Word, which is 'text reflow' (i.e. the content
is not really page based, or contained) you can add/introduce
a drawing canvas (previously MS Draw container/object) into
a Word document through Insert=>Picture=>New Drawing
to have access to those functions/graphics tools engine.

In both cases, the working area is limited to a single
'page'.
