consecutive caption numbering

Hello,

Anybody knows how to set the start number of a caption
label (e.g. to 7)? As far as i figured out, the starting
number is always 1.

I would like to be able to change the number of the first
Figure caption in a document to start at whatever number I
want. I think it's not possible (i didn't find
any .startnumber property) but maybe somebody out there
knows a solution...
