Consequences of deleting an .ldb file

Very occasionally our multi user Access 2000 has an .ldb file left over when
all the users are out of the database (this doesn't happen often) but in
this incidence the power went down briefly and broke the connection (we use
Terminal Services over a WAN to run the db) and I think that's what's caused
it. It hasn't cleared this time - as they usually do.

Is it OK to delete this file (I suppose I'll have to if it doesn't clear
though)? I know I need to make sure no one is using the database when I do
delete it - and I've done it once or twice in the past couple of years, but
I thought I'd read/heard somewhere that this can cause corruption.

Any views would be appreciated.

Thanks
Pat

Deleting the ldb file is safe: it will not cause corruption.
If you cannot delete it and you are sure no-one is using it, restart the
machine.
