Hi all
When I right click on a blank area and do a New, New Microsoft Word
Document, a new Word document is created. However, if I open the newly
created document, I'd get "The document 'New Microsoft Word Document.doc'
caused a serious error the last time it was opened. Would you like to
continue to opening it?" If I say yes, I would get Microsoft's Send Error
Report/ Don't Send message.
This also affects Excel except that I could open the Excel file but the
content is a load of garbage!! Publisher is also affected- it just crashes
out. If I do it on Powerpoint I would be presented with a document that
appears to be already created instead of a fresh template.
I have no idea why it's doing this. The version of Office is 2003.
BTW if I open any new Office documents via the Start, All Programs,
Microsoft Office, Word etc...all is fine. I have also done a 'Detect and
Repair' and reinstalled Office. My PC is running Win XP SP2.
Help is gratefully appreciated if anyone can tell me how to fix this
problem.
TIA
